ASH HANDLING SYSTEMSThe Teaford Company ash collection systems consist of wet and dry collection systems. The wet ash system collects ash from grates, boiler or thermal oil heater drop out chutes, multiclone collectors, electrostatic precipitators or other application you may have. The Teaford Company wet and dry ash collection systems are unique in the industry for their low maintenance and low operating horsepower. The wet ash system is typically combined with a Teaford biomass furnace to collect ash from the reciprocating grate and secondary chambers as well as drop out chutes on steam boilers and thermal oil heaters. The wet ash conveyors consist of a drag chain completely submerged in water for collection and then a de-watering section to allow for low water usage and low water in the ash when it is discharged into an ash bin. The system is complete with a water level control system. Dry ash can be collected at different points in a biomass combustion process. Ash screws can carry ash from dry ash hoppers under secondary combustion chambers, multicyclones and pollution control equipment to a single point for ease of disposal. Rotary airlocks are combined with the ash screws to provide an air seal and minimize any leakage. The conveying systems are designed and engineered for long life and low maintenance.
